New Server Launched for Fall 2004

 Fall 2004 marks the launch of the School of Education's second
digital portfolio server. The server is an Apple PowerMac Dual G5
packing over 3 TeraBytes of FireWire 800 storage & backup...plenty of 'iron'
to propel our folio authors deep into cyberspace :-)
Starting in June 2003, the original server (an Apple PowerMac Dual
G4) launched the pilot year for the School of Education's digital
portfolio project. It is now
'retired' to the lofty status of the training - testing - demonstration
- emergency
backup server, and will play an important role in the project's growth
during the coming year.
