        Hi there! My name is Miranda Albert, and I am an American History major enrolled in the QUEST program at Fairleigh Dickinson University.  My interests & hobbies include traveling, historic American cars, the culinary arts, gardening, fishing, hiking, and running.  I am also addicted to watching CNN and keeping up with current events.  As for my personal background, I am bi-racial, and the product of a military household--both of my parents served in the United States Navy.  
        I believe in examining and challenging oneself as a means of truly growing as an individual, and I am always on the quest for improving myself in this way.  Personal reflection is very important to me, which is something that has a profound influence on my teaching style. I believe that nurturing the mind and soul are paramount to the progress of lifelong learners.  My main goals as a teacher are to encourage my students to be caring, confident, insightful and knowledge-hungry individuals.
