My Interests
Teaching. Ever since I can remember, I have always had an interest in teaching others. I want to learn and develop skills to become an extraordinary teacher, and then be able to, one day, persue my dreams of becoming an elementary school teacher.
Bowling. I am a Bowler. In High School I was the Record's "Athlete of the Week" and was First Team All County for my Junior and Senior year. My High game is a 299 and my High series is a 700. Now, I bowl every Wednesday's and Sunday's in Adult leagues. On my Wednesday Night League, I just recently (2/16/05) bowled my first 300 game (for all of you who don't know, that is a Perfect Game). I was so excited and happy all at the same time. I enjoy bowling because it is a fun hobby that I share with my Father and it is a time when I feel relaxed and at ease.
Photography. Taking pictures has been one of my favorite interests in my life. I love to capture a moment on film that is worth a thousand words. In my classroom I plan to take pictures of the students' works, the students' interacting with one another, and my classroom environment.
PiGLeT. Piglet, Pooh's Best Friend from the classic Disney tale of "Winnie the Pooh," has been my favorite character for awhile now. Although I am older now, I consider myself a big child at heart. I find that this is a good quality for ym teaching because I am able to understand the FuN side to things and when it is time for my students to relax and just enjoy their work.
