Rainforests

I. Topic: Rainforests

II. Objective: Students will demonstrate the ability to briefly describe and discuss the following aspect:

What is a Rainforest?

III. Vocabulary:


Rainforest
Humidity
Equator

IV. Procedure:

I. Read books on the Rainforest
II. Discuss it

III. Kids draw picture of a Rainforest from the pictures they have seen in the books.

IV. Write about their Rain Forest

V. Author's chair

VI. Why did they include what they did?

V. Closure: Author's chair (sharing time)

VI. Extension: A Rainforest Museum will be displayed at the end of our unit.
