Please Note: Some large files may take time to download... please be patient.

For full functionality of some of the Excel files below (such as the Teacher Workbook), you may need to download the file to your computer, then open the file using Microsoft Excel instead of running it from your Web browser.  (If your computer does not prompt you with an option to download, right click on the link below and use the "Save Target As" command to download the file to your computer.  Alternately, you can save the file as an ".xls" file on your computer after it opens in the browser window.)

  • Teacher Workbook (Excel) - Teacher gradebook, attendance sheet and more...
            - Please enable Excel Macros for full functionality.
    (Note: Current ver. 1.8.4)
  • Daily Attendance Sheet (Excel Demo) - In-class demonstration of an alternative attendance sheet showing use of conditional formatting and data analysis techniques.
  • Grade Conversion Tool (Excel) - A more advanced version of the tool developed by students as a class exercise. (Demonstrates conditional formatting, cell validation, and nested If functions)
  • "Jenn's Class" (Excel) - Used in class to demo a simple Kindegarden gradebook without grades.  This version presents additional charts, conditional formatting, and nested If functions.
  • Language of the Internet (HTML PowerPoint) - A brief animated overview of the process of uploading and downloading files to the FDU Web server. 
    Note: You must use Internet Explorer ver. 5 or higher to view this presentation in your browser; alternately, download the file as a PowerPoint presentation.
  • How Computers Work (HTML PowerPoint) - An introduction to the basic components and terminology of computer hardware. 
    Note: MS Internet Explorer ver. 5 or higher required, or click here & use "File">"Save As" to download as a PowerPoint file.
  • 21st Century Learning (Flash) - This short MacroMedia FLASH presentation was developed for The Madison Institute as part of an integrated PowerPoint presentation.  A tribute to the victims of "9/11" is included at the end. 
    Note: This is a large file (5 MB) and is not recommended for download if you are using a dial-up connection.
