Microsoft Word-
- Keyboarding Practice- 10 min per day!
- Keyboarding Practice- 10 min per day!
- Your job is to use one of the following websites to practice keyboarding. 10 min per day, everyday! You can also use the book next to your computer.
- Business Letter
- Your job is to write a business letter of complaint or commendation to a local restaurant or business.
- Remember to use correct grammar and formatting, and check spelling!
- Flyer
- Your job is to create a flyer for a fictitious Brooklawn SA event (one that will never happen). The flyer must be colorful and informative, with little white space. Some examples are on Mr. Miller's SA website.

Table in Word
- Your job is to create a table in Word. The table may have any information you'd like. Examples could be a weekly lunch schedule, a small grade sheet, or a table of your homework assignments.
- Newsletter
- Create a newsletter using linking text boxes and formatting. The subject will be something learned in another class, and include pictures and information from the Internet.

Mail Merge- Word and Excel

Your job is to create a simple spreadsheet of your current class, with first and last names, made-up addresses and phone numbers, their homeroom and number of absences (made up). Once the spreadsheet is finished, you will write a letter to mail merge with the spreadsheet.

- Your job is to create a survey of favorites that the class will vote on. There must be at least five surveys. You must use the Chart Wizard to create a chart of each survey.
Microsoft PowerPoint-
- Introduction to PowerPoint
- Open and view the Introduction presentation to understand the value of working with PowerPoint.
- Biography
- Your job is to research a famous person (no one in music, movies or on TV) and build a PowerPoint presentation to highlight that person's life. Minimum of six slides, linear.
- Travelossi Project
- You are a travel agent! Your first customer is Mr. Travelossi, and he wants to bring his family on vacation. But, he has some criteria for you which are outlined in the project page.
- Use Expedia.com, Travelocity.com or Orbitz.com to search for the best trip for him and his family, then create a PowerPoint presentation to help you in your oral presentation to Mr. Travelossi himself.
- Buying a New Car-(Windows MovieMaker or PowerPoint)
- Your family has decided they are too busy to research a new car. They ask you to use the Internet to determine what car would be best for your family. But, you have a spending limit. This project could be in the form of a personalized commercial or presentation to your family.
- Business Website- (Microsoft Publisher)
- You have started your business and now you need a website! Create a three-page website to promote your business. Include a Home page, Product/Service page and an About Us page. Use animation, text and graphics to enhance your site.
Internet Research-
- Website Directory
- The best of the Web is at your fingertips, but you may not know it. This will be at list of your most useful websites on the Internet, and not the ones you use for fun! The sample is one teachers could use, but you must build one that students may use. 20 site minimum, hyperlinking, with images.
- Website Evalutation
- What percentage of the information on the Web is true? If you said less than 50%, you're right. View these three websites and use the Website Evaluation Page to determine their validity.
- Game Calculations
- What are your chances at winning the big money? Play the online game Deal or No Deal and then use your math skills to calculate the chances of winning. Use the Chances Spreadsheet to show contestants their chances based on number of cases and money left.
