| A little about me! My name is Danielle Hamblin and I am currently a student in the Educational Leadership Program at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I am the enrichment and curriculum coordinator in Bethlehem Township Schools. I chair many committees, including the Council of Instruction and multiple others committees. I am currently researching the efficacy of a formalized induction program on new teachers. I facilitate non-tenured support groups monthly, and assist in coordinating the assignment of mentors and buddy teachers. This is my twelfth year in the field of education, and I have been a classroom teacher in kingergarten through third grade. I have also been a Basic Skills Instructor in grades one through five and a Gifted and Talented Instructor and Program Coordinator, K-8.
I am enjoying my position as an enrichment and curriculum oordinator. I like working with the school community to ensure that the district's instructional practices are a cohesive continuum of relevant experiences and that the materials are current and support the District's mission and the New Jersey State Standards. The development of the enrichment program has been a combination of past practice as well as the addition of new ideas. The excitement I am feeling is spilling into the classrooms as I begin to offer whole class as well as small group enrichment within our schools.
I have been a student, a teacher, and a parent. My experiences in these roles, and my personal committment to educational excellence have inspired me to build upon my experiences in education as an educational leader. I look forward to the opportunities that obtaining my principal's certification will bring. (May 2005) I enjoy working with the school community to collaborate and grow professional in our chosen field.
