I had a short term experience as a teacher many years ago. One of my little kids was usually disturbing his other classmates in the classroom. I took care of him and tried to lead him to do his work better. Sometime it was tough for me to handle him properly. At the end of the semester, he handed me a small card that said, "Teacher, I learned something valuable from you, thank you!" As I read that, I felt a kind of thrill and it became an unforgettable memory to me. I think that teaching is never giving up to lead children to a better way, to encourage them to do their best, and to motivate them to get enthusiastic to learn. 

     I will teach English to Korean students after going back to Korea. Exposure to English language and American culture would be the most effective factors in acquiring English. I already acknowledged that the Korean students are in a difficult situation to learn English. However, I will try to apply various activities based on my students' level to make my class more interesting and cheerful. For example, the students will work in groups to accomplish their project. While they are discussing, collaborating, and interacting with each other to get things done, they will develop communicative competence. Working in small groups will reduce anxiety and increase participation. They will also improve English language proficiency such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

     I will draw my students' attention to my class by using appropriate strategies and activities that can be both motivating and fun.And my students will be allowed not to say without any pressure until they are ready. I will maximize my teaching skills to get them enthusiastic to learn English.
