Did the real-life approach increase my students' interest? |
Interview-
I will ask the students for general feed back on if they're enjoying the project and if they're interested in finding final results. |
Journal-
Students will write about the project; things they liked about the project and things they did not. |
Observation-
One things that students do show is their interest or their lack there of, a look around tells a lot! |
|
Has this project enhanced the students' comprehension of basic skills? |
Portfolio-
I can use students' past portfolios to judge whether or not their understanding of basic skills has improved. |
Observation-
As a teacher, I will have a good idea of my students' capabilities and through simple observation, I can judge whether or not their comprehension has been enhanced. |
Test-
A good old standardized test can also let me know if my students are able to carry out operations which require basic skill knowledge. |
|
Was the students'motivation affected by the project? |
Observation-
Through observation, I can get a sense of whether my students were engaged in the activity or if they were fighting boredom. |
Journal-
I will have students keep an active journal of their progress. Recording any new discoveries or any discrepancies they would like to explore. This will give me an idea of whether or not they've been motivated to do the project. |
Written Survey-
I can make a simple survey asking such as: are you enjoying the project? Has your participation been sufficient? Why or why not?
Would you want to do something like this again? |
