I'm
Jen and I'm a 5th yr at FDU. I'm in the Quest program for
education with a major of English/Writing. I'm not sure what grade
level i would like to teach yet though. This
website is basically showing my work progressing as my college career
continues.

Reflections:
1. What do you think is
your best piece of work? Why do you feel it is your best
effort? How is it different from other pieces of work? What
did you learn from doing it?
I feel the best piece of work
that I have is my edfolio site. I have never posted my own
website before and I have now learned how to post pictures, PowerPoint
presentations as well as papers or any little thing I feel like
posting. It is different from the rest of my work because I have
been able to post different things and it is not the usual writing
assignments. I have learned how to post my own website and to
post separate things within it.
2. How does the work in
your portfolio show what you have learned about important topics we
have studied to date? Please comment about (a) media literacy
(use what you did in class on Tuesday), (b) professional development in
terms of developing a Professional
Development Plan related to the
NJ Professional Development Standards and action research, and (c)
reform school/best practice efforts (we'll talk more about this in
class).
The portfolio shows assignments
from using PowerPoint which was our reform book that I have done on
„Savage Inequalities‰ where we have learned how two different types of
school districts are treated. The interdisciplinary unit showed
me how to incorporate the students more to make the classroom more
child oriented. The developmental plan has helped me with the
standards retain a curriculum that will involve different activities
for students of different qualities.
3. What example of your work best represent what you have learned in Seminar III? Why?
I think my interdisciplinary
unit with Crystal best represents my work because I have learned how to
put together a lesson based on a theme and string together a lesson
that connects each subject together.
3. How would you rate your overall performance based upon your work in your portfolio? Why do you say what you do?
From a scale from 1 ˆ 10 I would
give my portfolio an 8 because I have worked hard on all of my
assignments and it is shown through my edfolio site.
4. What other comments would you like to share?
I have enjoyed working on the site and with everyone this year and am looking forward to having class with everyone again soon.
