Developing a worthy website is hard work and although it is difficult, it is obviously not impossible. The idea is to do it so well that people will continue to return to your site. An EdFolio site may have a captive audience since students may be "required" to visit, but that is not a reason to skimp on making it as worthy as possible. Placing work on the Internet is often an intimidating process for many. The two articles below address technical writing for the web specifically, but there are plenty of worthy ideas for everyone interested in providing content to a defined audience via the Web. I think you will find them a valuable resource.

The Quick Start files are small, defined instructions that are designed to lead the user to answers about specific components of developing an EdFolio site. To complete the instructions and learn the complete site development process sequentially, read and work with the guides in the order they are presented.

The Step- by-Step tutorial is more of a hands-on approach with referenced files and activities.
