Hello Parents,

This year your child will learn a lot of new and exciting ideas that will help them become better thinkers. 

The TERC Investigations curriculum is a hands-on approach that focuses on building higher order mathematical thinking through exploration, hence the term, investigations.  While investigating mathematical concepts, they will develop flexibility in solving real life problems and gain confidence in their abilities to make decisions that enable them to successfully complete the tasks. 

As you already know, many of the assignments call on students to share their experiences from home and community thereby making the connection between math and everyday life situations a recognizable reality.

Please feel free to browse through this site in order to become more familiar with what your child is learning and what other resources are available to you and your family. This site will be updated regularly as we learn new and exciting ideas so please allow your child to visit on a regular basis.
