Will this workshop help students to speak better using proper grammar?

STUDENT WORK TAPE RECORD Students speaking before and after the workshops and calculate number of grammatical errors using a checklist.

OBSERVE Observe student's during the workshop as it relates to the use of proper grammar and use a check sheet to record data on number of errors in speech.

SURVERY Ask other teacher's (art,music,gym) to see if student's use better grammar in their classes after participating in the workshop.

Will all students learn and benefit equally from this workshop?

CHECKLIST Using this information compare the scores from before the workshop to after the workshop to see if all student's made equal growth.

VIDEO (BEFORE AND AFTER)Compare student's during the workshop. I will compare students in September and then again in June.

SURVERY Ask other teachers if they feel all student's have equally benefited from the workshop and under what grounds are they basing it upon.

Will teaching how to better speak be a long term experience?

AUDIO JOURNAL Student's will keep an audio journal throughout the course of the year so they can be compared before the workshop and afterwards.

MONTHLY SPEECHES At the end of each month student's will give a one minute speech and an evaluation using a 8 point rubric will be administered.

SURVEY At the end of the year has the student's learning of proper grammar been sustained.
