Nowadays, computer is an essential technology. At school, almost every classroom has computers. As a teacher, computer technique offers us great assistances. In this class, we learned how to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, in our teaching. In the process I also realized that computer technique application could save a lot of time for teachers and it was very useful in classroom.
In class,
we learned how to animate in powerpoint by doing a project called ball . This was the first time I used powerpoint.
We used word to make a room sign. Then we learned how to create a table of content. Word was also a good tool to make our resume,newsletter and so on.
We also learned to use excel to make Weighted Grade Book. Excel was a amazing calculator. We just inputed the formulas and it would calculate all items automatically. We also learned to make our trip calculation. Excel is really helpful to calculate and I also used it to make my virtual trip calculator
We did research about internet and computer. Through this process, I realy understood the internet and computer were extreme complication. We not only answered the question about internet but also used excel to make a timeline about history of internet. Internet was a great instrument to search information. Here was a list of my favorite websites. I used Excel to build my list and I also used hyperlink in my list. It was convenient for readers to open the web page on the list.
The final project was a presentation of my virtual trip by using powerpoint. In addition to presentation, we wrote our virtual trip journal and made my virtual trip calculator by using Word and Excel. We applied the computer techniques that we learned from this class into our final project. The final project presented the achievement of what we learned in the class, computer as a teacher's aide.
In the end of the class, I wanted to share my course reflection to you. I like this class. It taught me a lot of useful computer skills. I believed that computer technology would be a great aide to my future teaching.
